Q: Is this course approved?
A: Our course is approved in the following states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah, Washington. In addition, most insurance companies will give you a discount when you complete an I DRIVE SAFELY mature driver course, even if the course is not approved by the state. Please call your insurance agent to be sure.

How much will I save on my auto insurance?

Q: How much will I save on my auto insurance?
A: The amount you save is depended on many factors; whether or not your state mandates a decrease in your insurance rates, the specific regulations of your insurance agency, your driving record, etc. As a general rule, you can expect to save between 2% to 15%. However, for an accurate estimate, we encourage you to please contact your insurance agency.

A: The mature driver safety courses range in length from 3 to 6 hours depending upon your course and state and you have 180 days to actually complete the course.

A: No. Since our course is 100% online, you can use any computer with an Internet connection to study the course.

Do I have to do the entire course all at once?

A: Our course is designed so that you can start and stop studying as often as you like. And with our exclusive memory technology, every time you restart the course, you automatically return to the exact point where you last left off.

A: You cannot fail a final exam. If you miss too many questions, you simply retake the exam at no additional cost.

Are the statistics you quote outdated?

A: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) generally release traffic statistics 1-2 years after they are collected. We update the course material regularly to reflect the latest available statistics, which are not always from the year immediately prior.

A: In most states your completion certificate will be mailed directly to you. Once you receive your certificate it is then your responsibility to present it to your insurance company.

What certificate delivery options do I have?

Q: What certificate delivery options do I have?
A: We offer various delivery options. Your course tuition includes free US postal mailing of your certificate. For your convenience, we also offer the lowest premium delivery services in the industry.

  • Overnight Morning delivery costs an additional $24.95 and will be delivered the next business day before 12 PM.
  • Overnight Delivery costs an additional $19.95 and will be delivered the next business day before 5 PM.
  • Two-day Express Delivery costs an additional $14.95 and will be delivered the second business day before 5 PM. If you live in a rural area, delivery delays may occur.
How long does it take for my certificate to be delivered?

Q: How long does it take for my certificate to be delivered?
A: Our certificates are mailed out Monday through Friday at 3 PM Pacific Time (5 PM Central Time for Texas users). Users who complete their course after 3 PM will have their certificates mailed out on the following business day. We ask you to allow 3-5 business days for delivery. Premium delivery services are available for an additional fee.

A: If you have lost your certificate or if contains incorrect information, you may contact a customer support representative at 1-800-448-7916 to request a certificate reprint.

Completion Policies

What is the course completion policy?

Q: What is the course completion policy?
A: You must complete all phases of the approved curriculum in order to receive a certificate of completion. Any time missed must be made up. The school is prohibited from issuing a certificate of completion if the student has not met all the requirements for course completion and a student shall not accept a certificate under such circumstances.

What is the operation and conduct policy?

Q: What is the operation and conduct policy?
A: No credit or completion will be given if the course is completed by anyone other than you or if you are assisted by an outside party. When you enroll in the course you are stating under penalty of perjury that you, and not another person, studied the material in its entirety and completed that chapter quizzes and the final exam. By registering for the course, you understand that is may be a felony to make false statements or to falsify documents submitted by the court.

A: You do not need any special software to use our course. All you need is a web browser and a connection to the internet. We support Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher, Netscape Navigator 6.0, AOL 4.0 and higher, and most other browsers. There is no software to download and nothing saved to your hard drive. Some courses use the Macromedia Flash plugin. This product is free and can be downloaded and installed at registration.

A: The price of the mature driver safety courses vary by state.

For California the state allows us to offer two courses:

  • First Time Course $19.95
  • Refresher Course $17.95

Delaware also allows us to provide two courses

  • First Time Course $19.95
  • Refresher Course $19.95

All other states are $19.95 except Florida which is $14.95.

What is the course cancellation/refund policy?

Q: What is the course cancellation/refund policy?
A: A full refund will be made to any student who cancels the enrollment contract within 30 days of registering for the course and prior to attempting the final examination. The COURSE PROVIDER will terminate, without notice, the enrollment of any student who has not successfully completed the course within 180 days. All registration fees paid are due and refundable when the course of instruction is discontinued by the school, preventing a student from completing the course, or the enrollment of the student was procured as a result of any misrepresentation in advertising, promotional materials of the school, or representation made by the owner or employee of the school. All refunds will be issued within 30 days following receipt of a permissible request for cancellation.
